Training of academic staff
Development of a structured programme aimed at enhancing the competences of academic staff at higher education institutions in Colombia and Peru. A tool to strengthen knowledge in the prevention, diagnosis and management of the diabetic foot, building on the know-how and experience of the European Union partners.

Training of healthcare and technology professionals
Specialised training addressed to healthcare professionals, biomedical engineers, technology developers and service providers, aimed at consolidating an action network by offering innovative, digital and sustainable competences and solutions for the prevention and treatment of the diabetic foot.
Hands-on training in vulnerable communities
Supervised practical training activities carried out in hospitals and healthcare centres, addressed to patients from vulnerable communities, aimed at improving prevention, early detection and the management of diabetic foot complications.
Awareness-raising on diabetic foot prevention
Awareness-raising activities addressed to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers and the general community. Initiatives focused on self-care, prevention strategies and informed decision-making to reduce complications and amputations.
